I love this movie! It was a shame that Richard Harris passed away shortly after filming this movie! He was a terrific Albus Dumbledore! Michael Gambon does a good job playing Dumbledore know but Richard Harris is the forever Albus Dumbledore! R.I.P. Richard Harris 1930-2002! FANTASTIC IRISH ACTOR!
They wanted to change it to Sorcerer’s Stone because they wanted the title to convey some sense of wizardry and, I guess, they thought Philosopher’s didn’t convey that message. Because, I for one, really don’t want to read something about a boy philosopher, but I would like to read something about a boy wizard. See?

Philospher is the name of the stone, it has nothing to do with being a wizard. It is based on a real stone called the- guess what- philosphers stone. That is why it shouldnt have been changed because its a BRITISH book by a BRITISH author
Okay, I’m sorry if I offended you by saying that, I really wasn’t trying to be cross with anyone. I was just trying to contribute to the conversation. What I MEANT by that was, Scholastic, the AMERICAN publisher, didn’t think that AMERICAN readers would respond as well to Philosopher’s as they would to Sorcerer’s. I understand that it’s a stone, I read the book, but that’s not even what I was talking about. I was talking about the title. I hope I’ve cleared that up.

Half-Blood Prince has more action and humor. Chamber of Secrets was very dark and awesome
. Sorcerer’s Stone just because it was the original. Goblet of Fire because Voldemort came back. Order of the Phoenix was okay, but to dark. Prisoner of Azkaban, well, it just sucked.

5 just sucked, everything happened to fast, like when Sirius Black dies, and it’s just a 15 sec action, and Sirius is an important person.
4… Was good, but it could be cooler, if the dementors came in the labirynth as they did in the book
3… Is good, but nothing specail happens, HP learns a new spell and thats the way
